The Sadist is loosely based on the tale of Charlie Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate just like Natural Born Killers and Badlands. For those of you who don't know, Charlie was a Nebraska greaser, who embarked upon a cross country killing spree with his 13-year old girlfriend, Caril Ann. The bloodbath began at her house with her parents and her younger brother.
