Visit Real Haunts in America

When is a better time to visit haunted locations then when the veil is thin and these spirits can manifest themselves best if you believe in these theories.
The Winchester Mystery House - The strange and delightful, reportedly haunted house on which, I believe, Rose Red was based was owned by the wife of William Winchester at his death, Sarah Winchester. Left with a huge fortune left by the maker of death instruments, guns, she believed that because of all the deaths as a result of said guns, she would be forever haunted by the spirits of those who met their end on the wrong side of said guns. She believed the spirits would let her live so long as she continually added to her sprawling estate in San Jose, California, dubbed "The Winchester Mystery House. She proceeded in fear with her wealth to add stairways that went to nowhere, doors that opened to nothing, and other structural oddities, which one can experience via a tour at the house that still stands today. Construction workers and visitors alike reportedly experience bumps in the night and in the day that chill one to the bone.
